Privacy at Paysons Painting
Paysons Painting uses information submitted through this website to respond to painting enquiries and prepare quotes. If you book work with us, we also use the information needed to arrange and carry out the agreed work and maintain necessary job records.

Information you send us
Our contact and online quote forms collect your name, email address and the project information you choose to provide. You may also provide a phone number, room dimensions, other project details and photographs. Please send only information and photos needed to explain the painting work, and avoid including unrelated personal or sensitive information. Remove location information embedded in photographs if you do not wish to share it.
How enquiries and photographs are handled
Form notifications are sent to Mike’s business email. Mike uses enquiry information and photographs to discuss the project and prepare a quote. Our website uses WPForms to handle submissions; website records and uploaded files may be stored separately from the notification email.
Our website is hosted with A2 Hosting. Mike accesses business email using Roundcube webmail. Hosting, email and other technical services support the operation of the website and delivery of enquiries; Roundcube is the webmail interface, not a separate promise about where email is stored.
How long we keep information
For enquiries that do not result in booked work, our retention approach is to review closed enquiries during regular cleanup and remove information no longer needed six months after the enquiry is closed. Unnecessary project photographs should be removed sooner when they are no longer needed for the enquiry.
For booked jobs, we retain the records needed for the agreed scope of work, warranty support, accounting and applicable legal obligations for as long as those purposes require. We do not keep unnecessary photographs simply because a job was booked.
Cleanup is carried out manually; automatic deletion is not configured. Deleting an email does not necessarily remove website records, uploaded files, mailbox trash or backup copies. Backup copies may remain until the relevant provider’s retention and rotation cycle removes them; we do not promise immediate deletion from every backup.
Website services, cookies and embedded content
Our forms are configured to use Akismet to screen submissions for spam. This involves processing by an external service. See Automattic’s visitor privacy notice for information about that service.
Our website uses Google Analytics through MonsterInsights to understand website use and displays embedded Google Maps. These services may process device information and information about interactions with the website, and may use cookies or similar technologies. See Google’s Privacy Policy.
Website, hosting and security services may also process technical information such as IP addresses, browser information and access logs to operate the site and help prevent abuse. External services may process information outside Canada. Provider-specific storage locations and retention periods vary; contact Mike if you would like information about the services involved in handling your enquiry.
You can manage cookies through your browser settings. Blocking cookies may affect some website functions. Embedded content from other websites may collect information about your interaction with that content, including when you are signed in to the external service.
Comments and website accounts
Where comments are available, submitting a comment provides the information shown in the comment form and may include technical information used for spam detection. Approved comments are public. An anonymized string derived from your email address may be sent to Gravatar to display a profile image; see Automattic’s Privacy Policy.
If you use a website account or sign-in page, WordPress uses cookies for sign-in and display preferences. Account information and comments are separate from quote enquiries, so the six-month closed-enquiry cleanup approach does not automatically delete them.

Please identify the enquiry sufficiently for us to locate it without sending unnecessary sensitive information. Some records may need to be retained for accounting, warranty, legal or security purposes.
