Black Window & Trim Painting in Altadore
For this Altadore project, we finished new bare wood windows in black to coordinate with the existing dark trim. We carefully masked the glass and protected the surrounding room, removed the opening sashes to finish all edges, and filled, sanded and caulked where needed. The surfaces were primed with Cloverdale stain-blocking primer before being finished with Cloverdale Ecologic Interior/Exterior Semi-Gloss. The four photos below show the transformation from bare wood and preparation through to the completed windows.

PROTECT & PREPARE
We protect floors and nearby furnishings, then remove or mask hardware as needed. Surfaces are cleaned, nail holes and minor dents are filled, and rough areas are sanded. Gaps along trim joints are caulked where needed for a tidy finish.
PRIME & PAINT
Bare areas, repairs and surfaces needing extra adhesion or stain blocking are primed as required. We apply two finish coats, using a brush, roller or spray application as suited to the project, with careful attention to panels, profiles and edges.
CLEANUP & WALKTHROUGH
We remove protective coverings, reinstall any hardware we removed and clean the work areas. During a final walkthrough, we review your trim and doors together, address any touch-ups and confirm the agreed work is complete before payment.
